Vaillant, founded in 1874, is a family-owned international company with headquarters in Remscheid, Germany. Vaillant supplies a number of products including gas boilers, hot water cylinders, boiler controls as well as solar water heating products and ground source heat pumps. Brands include Vaillant and Glow-worm. The firm employs over 12,000 people and has a particular emphasis on development and innovation with around 680 product and technology development staff worldwide.

The warranty cover offered by Vaillant varies by boiler range and can be extended subject to conditions. The basic Guarantee is either 2 or 5 years, with 7 to 10 years available when you book a Vaillant Advance installer and they use install a boiler protection kit. I’m a big fan of the ecoTEC Plus models. Rarely need to go out and fix them after installation, and they’re pretty efficient as well as reliable, especially compared to the cheap ones many new homes get these days.
